The Zektor Prowler 8x8 is an active, non-blocking 8x8 CAT5 Matrix component video switch with
0Hz-450MHz Bandwidth and a fully D.C. coupled design. Loaded with features for the custom installer, the The Zektor Prowler 8x8 incorporates several best-in-class features for video and audio.
- 8 CAT5 Audio/Video outputs and 8 mirrored local Audio/Video outputs.
- Transmits video and stereo audio or S/PDIF over single CAT5 cable up to 1000ft. No power required at the receiver.
- Same best in class features as the Clarity Elite with CAT5 outputs.
The Prowler 8x8 handles all formats of Analog Audio and Digital
Audio with Bi-directional conversion between all formats of analog and
digital audio. Advanced audio handling permits volume, bass, and treble controls on both analog and digital
audio.
Remote control and automation features are supported via TCP/IP, RS-232,and IR-Jack. Discrete IR codes are incorporated for every function
(over 350 discrete codes); 100 programmable macros for simple IR
control. Included is a Zektor Learning Remote for multiple units in the
same room.
Final touches: Brushed Aluminum chassis and a Five Year Warranty.
Best in class features:
Video
- 450MHz Bandwidth for the most demanding video applications.
- 8 Channels of YPbPr, YCbCr or RGsB video.
- 3 Channels of composite to component video conversion.
- 8 Component video zones which can be switched to any of the 11 input channels.
- 8 CAT5 single cable outputs
Audio
- Full Volume, Bass and Treble control of analog AND digital audio.
- Lip sync delay from 0 to 170ms, per zone.
- Analog audio is automatically converted to digital audio.
- Digital audio is automatically converted to analog audio.
- Both analog and digital audio is available simultaneously on the outputs.
- 8 coax digital inputs and 8 optical digital inputs w/auto conversion to coax.
Control
- Bi-directional RS-232 and RS-422.
- TCP/IP.

Features
- 8 CAT5 single cable outputs and 8 mirrored component video outputs
- 0-450MHz video bandwidth, DC coupled, can pass 1080p60 3rd harmonics, for crystal clear images.
- Dedicated 8 zone composite video.
- Volume control through serial or TCP/IP control.
- DC coupled 0-125KHz audio bandwidth for deep rumbling, sub-audible bass, and transparent highs.
- Compatible with all HDTV formats including: 1440p, 1080p, 1080i, 576p, 576i, 540p, 720p, 480p, 480i and all refresh rates including: 50Hz, 60Hz and 24Hz.
- Y/Pb/Pr Component, or RGB w/sync on green, or RGBHV, or Composite or S-Video, PAL or NTSC formats.
- Digital audio switching for both coax and optical, with automatic conversion between both formats on inputs and outputs.
- High current drivers for runs of 300+ feet of high quality cable.
- Highly intuitive, easy to use front panel. No cryptic key sequences to learn, current settings easily viewed from across the room.
- Easy to use audio or video breakaway. Watch the game while listening to a CD!
- All IR discrete codes available, including On, Off, Mute, and unique IR discrete codes for mapping every input to every zone.
- 32 programmable presets allows you define 32 different setups. Presets can affect only a single zone, or multiple zones. Presets allow you to turn on and completely remap zones with a single IR code!
- Rear panel IR jack that works with any system, modulated or unmodulated, any polarity, and optically isolated to prevent ground loops.
- Programmable mute while switching, delays (sometimes called "Fade to Black"). Used to prevent rolling, and audio "thumps" while switching. Different zones can have different delays.
- Rear panel TCP/IP control jack.
- RS-232 with a very simple, yet very extensive, command set. Allows switching video, analog audio and digital audio independently.
- Firmware upgradeable.
- Auto-dimming front panel LEDs, with user adjustable intensities from very bright, to off, for any type of lighting.
- Heavy duty steel, rack mountable, black 2U chassis.
- Made in U.S.A. with a five year warranty.
