The Intelix AVO-V1A2-F balun is an ideal solution for transmitting composite video and ultra-high quality stereo audio up to 2200 feet over structured cabling, such as Cat 5. Used in pairs, AVO-V1A2-F baluns replace bulky coaxial cable and utilize a building's existing structured cabling network.
Example System 1: Two AVO-V1A2-F baluns connect a DVD player to a remote plasma and an audio receiver. Audio and video from the DVD player is balanced by the source balun, transmitted over the Cat 5 cabling, and then unbalanced by the receive balun. The audio from the DVD player is sent to the audio receiver and the video is sent to the plasma.
Example System 2: A common application for the AVDA-8-F and AVO-V1A2-F balun is in retail kiosks and residential home theater distribution--two scenarios in which a single audio/video source is routed to multiple destinations. In the above example the composite video and stereo audio from a DVD player is distributed to four remote plasmas.
