The AVP-11D UniDrive system delivers component HDTV signals from one source to a single remote location up to 1,000 feet  away. Unlike a passive balun system, the UniDrive utilizes Active Gain Equalization (AGE) circuitry which dramatically extends range and signal integrity. The UniDrive has a 3-conductor bidirectional pathway for infrared control signals in addition to HDTV audio and video signals.

The AVP-11D system includes one Model 9880T CAT5 Transmitter, and one Model 9878 (single gang Decora-style, in-wall) CAT5 Receiver. The cable length compensation adjustment on the receiver allows the installer to fine tune image quality over long Cat 5 runs.

Only the transmitter requires a power supply; the receiver is powered over the Cat 5 bus.
