Model 9870D DuoDrive 1:2 Cat5 HD Signal Distribution System

Easily distribute HDTV signals to multiple rooms with Audio Authority's DuoDrive Cat5 HD signal distribution system. Each DuoDrive unit (Model 9870D) serves two remote locations using CAT5 cable and is expandable to serve up to 10 locations.

This system includes two Model 9879 Decora-style wallplate Cat5 receivers (trim rings not included). 

The DuoDrive system incorporates key signal pathways required for premium audio and video quality, together with an IR pathway for easy remote control of you AV components. All this using just two inexpensive, easy to install CAT5 cables. The Model 9871 CAT5 Driver can distribute HDTV signals up to 1,000 feet from the source.

The Wallplate
The 9879 CAT5 Wallplate Receiver installs easily into a standard single-gang electrical box. Two CAT5 cables deliver component video, digital audio and analog audio to each wallplate -- no power connection is is used. 3.5mm IR jacks (use front or rear facing jack) provide a pathway for a third party IR remote distribution network. The passive, three-wire pathway on the CAT5 bus can pass IR signals either way. IR receiver and emitter equipment not included. Reliable and Expandable
The cable length compensation allows adjustment for the optimal signal strength at any distance up to 1,000 feet from the source. Like Audio Authority's commercial video distribution products, the DuoDrive provides reliable ground isolation thereby preventing hum bars and other artifacts associated with ground loops.

It's easy to expand a DuoDrive system. Simply stack additional 9871 Drivers using Kit# 46 stacking kit or connect using high quality RCA cables. Up to ten wallplate/receivers may be served in this way. The RCA bus output may be used to feed HDTV signals to a local video display and/or sound system.
