Component Video and Audio Switching with IR Remote

The 1154B  is the evolution of the Audio Authority 1154A switcher.  The 1154B retains the convenience of  AutoSelect(tm) -- a method of automatically switching multiple sources  -- but adds IR remote control, discrete input selection, and an all new  design.

The Design

An all  metal chassis encloses all redesigned electronics. The 1154B  features increased bandwidth over the 1154A,   a more streamlined RCA jack  arrangement, and easy selection from AutoSelect and manual select  modes. A new touch-sensitive keypad allows for easy source switching and  the elimination of mechanical push buttons. The 1154B's has a satin finish  aluminum faceplate makes the 1154B Autoselector look as good as it performs.  Padded feet prevent damage to other AV Components or furniture.

Performance

The 1154B  design has increased bandwidth over the previous model, and  handles component video signals from 480i up to 1080p with no  signal degradation. Digital optical audio and digital coaxial audio signals are  automatically cross-converted internally, removing the need for  outboard audio converters. Analog audio pathways faithfulls preserve the full integrity  of the original signal for optimum audio performance of your  system.

Discrete  input selection IR commands allow   control using  universal remote control macros. A credit-card type IR remote is  included with the switcher. Gold-plated input/output jacks provide  maximum signal integrity. Red and green LEDs show the currently  selected source, and the presence of audio signals on active inputs.  All inputs are AC coupled to prevent DC offset and other compatibility  problems with certain cable and satellite set-top boxes.

You can  easily install the 1154B to expand the number of TV component video  inputs and expand the number of receiver audio inputs. Its exclusive  AutoSelect circuitry makes it easy to use, too. The 1154B automatically  selects the active input, or the input can be selected manually using  the elegant front panel controls or IR remote.

Custom  installers and system integrators will love the 1154B's discrete input  selection for systems using IR remote systems and macros. Multi-color  front panel LEDs indicate source availability and the source that is  currently selected. The ultra high bandwidth circuitry accepts Y Pb Pr  component video, stereo analog audio, and digital audio in both optical  and coaxial formats, and switches all audio and video signals  simultaneously. Digital audio signals are converted automatically to  the desired format. Up to four sources may be connected to one  receiver/video display system through the 1154B.
